Soyuz MS-17 at filling station

Pre-launch processing of the Soyuz MS-17 crewed spacecraft for the launch under the program of Expeditions 63 and 64 to the International Space Station continues at Baikonur Cosmodrome.

RSC Energia specialists together with other Russian rocket and space industry employees started fueling operations. Prior to that, on September 28, in accordance with the technical management’s decision, the spacecraft was delivered to the filling station of Site 31 to have its integrated propulsion system loaded with compressed gases and propellant components.

According to the processing schedule, the fueling operations are to be completed on October 1, when the spacecraft returns to the assembly and testing facility of Site 254 to undergo the final stage of prelaunch preparation, with the launch scheduled for October 14, 2020.
